Team Effort!!

Today the team split into two groups. The first group continued with the hard physical work of digging and weeding whilst the other group did some research work.

The research group investigated what could be grown at various times of the season, how much a poly tunnel would cost (for growing vegetables in) and what sponsorship activities the team could do to raise money to buy the poly tunnel.

Whilst the research team were hard at work surfing the net for answers, the digging team ploughed on with the strip. As you can see from the pictures, a huge amount of work has already taken place and the team have managed to clear a large area of the garden.

Well done team. Make sure you do your sunshine dance for next Monday!!

Another Hard Gardening Session Completed

The team has completed another days worth of work in one hour - Well done!

Just another session needed and the whole area will have been weeded. The next challenge will be to put some weed killer down and pick the stones out, leaving soil which will be great for growing flowers and vegatables.

Once the team have completd this work, they would of created a great opportunity for other students to work in a school garden.

The team  will then have to start thinking of other voluntary opportunities they can do within the school or local community.
